Khaled Bichara graduated from the American University at the age of 22. He earned a degree with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration. Both appear to have served him well because Khaled Bichara’s achievement in this fields have been nothing but commendable.

In the 10 years since his graduation, Khaled Bichara was responsible for the growth of the internet service provider company LINKdotNET, found in Egypt. Under Khaled Bichara’s chairman leadership, the company grew to become the largest provider of its services in the Middle East. This growth is what led to the monumental partnership with Microsoft in the development of a Middle Eastern portal. This allowed people to enjoy a richer internet experience with the launching of better web services and features such as MSN Arabia.

Khaled Bichara went on to become the COO of the Italian telecommunication company Wind Telecomunicazioni. Currently the third largest company in the nation, Khaled Bichara was able to improve the results of Wind Telecomunicazioni in three years. Within this period Khaled Bichara was able to arrest the downward spiral which the company was at the time in. In 2005, Wind Telecomunicazioni was sold to Weather Investments. Khaled Bichara would later be appointed the COO of Orascom Telecom Holdings.

In recognition of Khaled Bichara’s valuable contribution to the growth and success of information technology as well as his inspiring leadership, Khaled Bichara was awarded the “Young Executive of the year award” in 2003 by the Business Today Egypt. This was the very first of such award and was designed to be given to individuals with exemplary results as an executive below the age of 40. At 32, Khaled Bichara easily qualified. Khaled Bichara joined the board of directors at Orascom during the same year.

The appointment of Khaled Bichara as the CEO of the company is seen as an indication of Orascom’s determination to further expand its influence and productivity in the world of telecommunication. Khaled Bichara’s position will see him directing the affairs of the Commercial and Marketing, Communications, Technical, Regulatory Affairs and IT Departments. A graduate of the Stanford Executive program for growing companies, Khaled Bichara has more than shown his firm grasp and ability at managing large and growing corporations.

Khaled Bichara is an active member of numerous information technology communities in the region, one of which includes the software community of the Middle East. In his country Khaled Bichara is widely recognized as being a founding member of the Egyptian Software Association, the Internet Society of Egypt and the Egyptian Electronic commerce committee.
