For most of the people in the Middle East, the name LINKdotNET is a very common one. The company is the largest internet service provider in the region. It is also run by Mr. Khaled Bichara. Khaled Bichara is the current CEO of Orascom Technology. Prior to his appointment Khaled Bichara was widely known as the co-founder and chairman of LINKdotNET. The name, Khaled Bichara, can be found on many software and technology boards across the region.

Khaled Bichara
In 2003, Khaled Bichara was one of the inaugural winners of Business Today Egypt’s “Young Executive of the year award”. Khaled Bichara was only 32 at the time. This was given in recognition of Khaled Bichara’s immense contribution and leadership in the running of his internet company LDN. Whilst it was a valued honor, it did not exactly signify the start of Khaled Bichara’s career. As far as successful leadership went, Khaled Bichara had long since been distinguished in that field.
For example, although most of the people living in the Middle East are aware of the use and importance of MSN Arabia, few people are aware that it was a partnership between Microsoft and LDN, the company co-founded by Khaled Bichara that led to its development. With a workforce of about 1,500 and branch offices in three different continents, LINKdotNET provides technological solutions and developments to hundreds of companies. Some of these services include custom development solutions, advanced infrastructure solutions and Business process and integration.
Mr. Khaled Bichara was more than invaluable in the reversal of affairs for the company Wind Telecommunicazion. Khaled Bichara was appointed the COO of the telecommunication company. With the leadership and guidance of Khaled Bichara, the company was able to not only freeze its backslide, but actually turn around and proceed to achieve a positive balance. All this was done within 3 years.
Mr. Khaled Bichara is a known supporter of the growth of information technology in the region. Khaled Bichara has retained ties with the Department of computer science and engineering, located in the American University in Cairo, from which he earned a degree. Alongside being on the advisory board of the department, Khaled Bichara is also the founding member of the Internet society of Egypt and the Egyptian software association. Khaled Bichara actively participates in the Software community of the Middle East. He is a member of the Egyptian Electronic Commerce Committee.
Khaled Bichara is married with two children.
When interviewed the CEO Khaled Bichara attributed the strength of the company’s current success to its vibrant and young workforce. The average age of the employers in the company is set at 28.
Mr. Khaled has been known to pass on older candidates in exchange for younger ones because; their novelty ends up making them work harder. “Having a lot to prove sometimes pushes people to do more than they expect, more than average,” says Khaled Bichara. “Because if you do the average, you end up being an average company.”
True words spoken by a true professional.
